Towards a Family Equipping Church

The Family-Equipping Model was coined by Dr. Timothy Paul Jones and Dr. Randy Stinson. This model was developed to transform age-organized ministries to co-champion with the family and the community of faith. It involves the community of faith re-orientating their ministries and activities with a strong focus on discipleship so that parent is equipped, and become primary disciple-makers in their children’s lives.
This model encompasses both the Old and the New Testament because it embraces both the family and the church as disciple-making institutions. It reflects God's design in Deuteronomy 6 and the church's role in discipleship in Matthew 28.
